Start Your Recovery Journey with Compassionate, Professional Support
Whether you’re facing challenges with substance use, mental health, or court-related requirements, the first step is simple—and we’re here to walk you through it.
How to Begin: Schedule Your Initial Appointment
Your first step is to schedule a confidential appointment with our licensed clinician. During this meeting, our licensed clinician will conduct a comprehensive psychosocial assessment to understand better your unique situation, whether that includes addiction concerns, emotional challenges, legal requirements, or life stressors.
What the Assessment Covers
We conduct psychosocial assessments for individuals who:
- Are seeking treatment for substance use or mental health
- Need help managing trauma or grief
- Have been court-ordered for evaluation (e.g., Drug Court, Probation, DCBS, or Casey’s Law)
- Are considering medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone, Vivitrol, etc.)
Assessments are thorough but respectful. They help us determine the right level of care for your needs and guide the development of your personalized treatment plan.
Collaborative Treatment Planning
At Altruism Counseling Services, you won’t be handed a generic treatment plan. We believe you should have a say in your goals.
Together with your counselor, you’ll outline:
- Short- and long-term goals
- Objectives to support those goals
- Services that match your level of readiness and lifestyle
Our ultimate hope? You reach your goals and experience meaningful personal growth, peace, and lasting recovery.
